Interior of mid-century architect Fred Simmons home.

Mid Century in Cleveland County.

In late 2022 I was approached by the Historic Shelby Foundation with a project documenting the mid century architecture and design in Cleveland County, NC. I was to photograph the locations highlighted in an architectural survey done a few years prior on medium format film. This project culminated in an exhibit at the Earl Scruggs Center in historic downtown Shelby in November of that year, here are the resulting images.
